It is incredible that there are sooo many answers from theists, waxing eloquent about their moral superiority, and claiming that Atheists end up in a wanting, desperate condition.

This is a willful ignorance of fact, and in many cases, outright lies crafted by people who cannot justify their belief system, with truth or fact or reason.

You should all be ashamed of willfully breaking the 5th commandment and be wary that according to your belief system, willful sin, leads to eternal torture at the hands of your Loving God.

As an Atheist I will answer for myself. I seek to achieve a better world for my children, I seek to provide a better life for my extended family, I seek to achieve a better life for those that life around me, my community, city and country.

I do this, because, as a human being, its important to make the one chance at life I have, a good, beneficial and happy one. I understand that true happiness comes from helping others, not from collecting toys or holy points that cannot be cashed in after death.

The claims of immoral behavior and godless depression, listed by non Atheist answerers before me, couldn't be farther from the truth.

The facts disprove these claims. 98% of scientists, including biologists, physisists, technologists and physicians are Atheists. Yet they provide a majority of the tangible inventions and understanding that has been beneficial to mankind in the past 300 years.

If it wasn't for biologists, we wouldn't have the quality of life and advanced medicine that keeps us alive and more active into our later years. If it wasn't technologists, we wouldn't be in this community talking about life, and wouldn't have the ability to compress worldwide data into tangible invention. If it wasn't for physisists, our shelter, transportation, agriculture and water consumption would be relegated to the dark ages and we would still be beset by disease and death. If it wasn't for physicians, we would still be dying in mass from chicken pox and the flu and small cuts would fester into staff infections.

98% of these people are Atheists, all contributing hugely to your and my quality of life, and making the future a better place for our kids and grandkids.

What do the religious seek to achieve in this life? I submit it is nothing but the entry into the next, and argument over how that can be achieved causes violence, family dispute and unreasonable attempts to stop human progress.

Religious people attempt to claim moral superiority as you can see by the answers here, but in reality, theirs is a solitary belief system that in ETERNALLY selfish. Imagine having the capacity to worship a Deity, while he imprisoned your children or parents in eternal torture? That takes incredible cruelty and selfishness, and shows a willing disregard for humanity, which makes sense as it is clearly displayed in the bible.

justification.

your mind can multitask around seven things at once (give or take two depending on the person). While "high", your multitasking ability goes down. Thus it just makes so much more sense high cause your not multitasking why what you think is wrong.

But that's a little of subject.

I think most all God-haters will say things to reject what God says,.. but not take one second to think why God could be right. These nay sayers are stumped by certain things, and just get angry at Christians for confronting them. Then, when you prove them wrong,.. they ignore how they have been proven wrong and change the subject looking for something else to hate.

Some even play games of not actually saying truth, so when you take them at face value, you miss conceived who they are. These people are just as serious about their philosophy as their attack of your philosophy.

It stems from the satanic (practically straight from the satanic bible) and liberalist core belief... Someone can make it work. And when someone figures out how to do it,.. it proves Christian's selective ways as just a choice. hue hephner made it work? Psychology today magazine says that, "only mature people can sleep around." That after you grow calloused to marital love, that you are in a better position to settle for second best and sleep around. While they completely ignore the data on how taking love for granted until what you ignore is a big ball of frustration,.. then people run away from their problems. Or those who get together on ideals that dissipate. Every girl has a crush on brad pitt. But only one can make it work. Marrying someone severely younger is kinda like marrying an empty slate,.. you can imagine who they may become. The younger is attracted to the stability,.. and the older is attracted to themselves. But as the younger grows up in comparison to the older,.. they truly learn a new side of themselves.

Orrr. How liberalists wanted to spit in Christians face in california. They want to blame Christians for every abusive parent. So they made it illegal for kids under 6 to be spanked. Their most impressionable years and your supposed to reason with their lack of reasoning skills. They found data that said kids who aren't spanked do better. This is liberalists ignoring how they could be wrong when they have an agenda. Because it's obvious that kids who are less explorative and more patient will be natural drones in school. Thus they would avoid trouble by not exploring the other side of the fence, where they aren't supposed to go. But liberalists say I should offer my kid a treat in order to get them to go to bed on time. Truly, spare the rod and spoil the child.

Should I go on??? All they want is justification for their imperfect desires.

I assume some go by the "survival of the fittest" route; achieving whatever they can and trying to make themselves better than their lower, lesser evolved counter parts.

Others want what's best and happy. For them, that is, and those that they care about. Not their enemies, of course. Go with the flow, do whatever feels good. Life, for an atheist, is to eat, drink, and be merry.

Why all the problems and "hatred" toward Atheists? I'm not saying you hate them btw. Atheists are people just like you, that want to achieve things and live out a happy life too. They have hopes, dreams, and goals just like you too. Don't think of them as outcasts. They are people too.

Enjoy the journey!

Life before death.

While christians are busy not living, I'm busy living, and enjoying each day's trip on this journey.

I think some christians just can't stand the fact that atheists actually enjoy their existence.

To use their own minds and to sink or swim on their own decisions, right or wrong, rather than be misguided by some archaic influences.
