tricky - unless it is very small no point - most email systems will stop you at 10MB mark. what you have to do is toarrnage with the recipient to upload it into an area you all get access to or set up a PEER to PEER connection; which is becoming very popular to share big files....

The best software I've seen for a dvd file is Ashampoo burn and shrink for example you can get a movie at 4.5gb to about 700mb but still you need to find another e-mail system that will allow you to send it. By reducing the file to very small you will reduce the quality. It is easier sending it by msn messenger in which I've done but both connections have to be same i.e if you have 20mb speed and the other has 2mb it will take longer than usual. You first have to think about it.

Your DVD is probably in a compressed format already so I doubt you could compress it significantly further.

The size of the file will prevent you sending it as attachment. and it would take forever to upload it, and almost as long for the recipient to download it.

I suggest you burn a copy and send it by snail-mail.

Unfotunatley a DVD is WAY! to big to compress to a email. eg
A DVD file is around 8000mb and you can't usually send an email bigger than 5mb or so. You can maybe try and send it in stages

Hi its not the whole dvd is it?

You wouldnt get it compressed to much under 500meg (?)

Have you checked the file size? <=5 meg would be the most you'd want to attach I would have thought.
