I posted a card from Glasgow to Birmingham the other afternoon and it got there the next morning!!! I was just interested in finding out how this is done.

Sorted in Glasgow, flown or trucked to Birmingham. Sorted again in Birmingham. Delivered by hand to your home.

If you post a letter before around 3:30pm then it will normally arrive the following day (might have to be first class though).

The postcode, clearly marked, is sped read by a computer, this is the key element for a fast service.

this happens owing to the address and the pin code you mention on the letter
