I don't know what to do to stop my little Pomeranian dog from having erections. I also dont want to de-sex him mainly cause i think its wrong to do it. The only times it happens is when i first see it in the morning (0_0) and then it gets very excited and then some other times when I see him the next time after I get home from school. Does anyone have any ideas? I just dont like seeing it when he roles overand stuff.

This is the same , tired , exscuse people use when they dont want to get there dogs fixed . " Oh , well i think its just plain wrong " or " I cant do that to my dog " . If you get your dogs fixed not only does this stop erections but it prevents them from having any testicular cancer or disease or unwanted litters . Why do you think they say " Always spay and Neuter you dogs " all the time .

It's natural. Best way to stop it is to play with it until he gets off, and then it will go back to its' usual limp position.

As for fixing? Ask your vet and don't jump to conclusions before you do. I know in my female Shih Tzu, statistically speaking her odds of developing certain forms of cancer the vet told me would go up significantly if I let her have her first heat (period), without breeding her.

Yes, I had her fixed. If you have no intention of breeding the dog, then why run the risk that the dog will "hook up" when you least expect it?

You have a choice- you can see his erections frequently or you can get him fixed. It's best for his health, and not cruel at all, and no reflection on YOUr manhood- there's no reason not to.

If you don't get him neutered he will always have erections.

All I can think of is getting him spayed... You can't really stop him, can you?
