I really need more info here- like is he doing it all the time or was it just once off- if it has only happened a few times then I say it's just a mistake- come on give your dog a break, we all make mistakes don't we?

If it happens all the time, then I suggest you repeat the training process again. Though remember, training is a never ending process, each time you see your dog going outside, you should praise him and reward him, whether it be a liver treat, a hug or a pat. Reward good behaviour.

Good luck

Ruling out that your dog was unable to get outside, dogs do not have the same social rules as people

Dogs thrive on routine. And sometimes they stick to a routine so well that we interpret that as an understanding of our wishes.

If a dog always scratches the door to be let out, it is very easy to believe that he knows he isn't supposed to pee inside when there is no understanding of that by any means.

In most cases, it is more enjoyable for the dog to urinate outside.

Unfortunately, unless there is a spray which actually works, you may have to resign yourself to putting out some rugs for your dog.

You can try reinforcing the "good" behavior of peeing outside but it's important to remember the dog is responding to a routine, not an understanding of bathroom rules.

Did he pee inside your house before? If it does, he will pee there again because its already have it smell( pee smell ) so he thinks it is safe to pee there. If he did not pee in your house before, maybe his bladder was full, LOL :)

Perhaps, he just had to wiz. He could be nervous. Not up
to snuff. If he continues see a vet. There could be medical
issues. BEST OF LUCK

Either he couldn't hold it til you let him out, he was mad or upset at you, or he has developed a bladder or urinary infection and can't hold it. If it continues, take him to the vet to get check out. If it was just one time, odds are you "pissed" him off.
