I am also tired of the politicians & people in the entertainment industry that come on TV boo-hooing about global warming & going green to save the environment but wait....they have private jets several homes etc. etc. So really the message is - you want me to change my life style while you continue with yours as you will.... ah ...you’re all big hypocrites? Hello!?

You're SO right. If they want everyone to go green, which I'm glad they're trying to promote, they should be the examples instead of being all talk. Try a 'green' jet. Can't they make fancy 'green' limos and corvettes and stuff? They need to be told by someone big that they don't need all this. I personally don't understand why celebrities and other big shots should get all this for what, working hard for one movie and then smiling for the paparazzi? I work REALLY hard every day using the little power I have to make a difference in the world, and I don't think it's very fair that they can't spare a bit of their photo time to take even just a little action that A LOT of people will follow, since these people are practically WORSHIPPED.

I don't think we should listen to politicians at all about global warming. Whatever they say or try to do will probably be vetoed by those who oppose their ideas. Global warmining is just a part of the climate change crisis. Instead of listening to them, we should try to change our lifestyle instead. Regardless of what happens, being "greener" benefits us and not the politicians. When do they ever get something done in time? Politics is politics.

I agree that a lot of those who talk highly about going green are actually among the great energy wasters, and the countries that use most of the energy and have very few forests left try to make the energy poor and forested countries stop using their forests and increasing their energy uptake, but do nothing to save energy and plant trees themselves.
That is all true, but global warming is a real threat, and sometimes you need hypocrites to get a honest message through.

It's not just liberals ranting. Maybe there's something to rant about?

"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"

"National Review published a cover story this past week calling on conservatives to shake off denial and get into the climate policy debate"

"Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) 'It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to do something on fossil fuels.”

Ford Motor Company CEO William Clay Ford, Jr. "I believe there is now more than enough evidence of climate change to warrant an immediate and comprehensive - but considered - response. Anyone who disagrees is, in my view, still in denial."

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

"Republican governors team up against global warming"

"the overwhelming number of scientists now believe that there is significant human cause,'' Giuliani said, adding the debate on the existence of global warming "is almost unnecessary ... ''

"(from Republicans for Environmental Protection) The consensus of almost all climate scientists is that global warming is already happening, that human actions are causing it, and that it will cause major problems for our planet."

Yes that's the way it goes . Our leaders tell us to do one thing and they do the other . Yes we are a bunch of fools listening and doing what we are told . Yes ride your bicycle so we can ride in the limo . Get on a bus so we can fly in our jet . conserve water so we can keep our swimming pool full , Go to Iraq wile we go to the ranch . Go fight and kill be killed wile we hide in the bunker .

Our leaders . Aren't they just wonderful ! ??

Yea, this "I'm greener than you, so I must be a better person" stuff is very tiring.
