While it may not be the biggest scam, it is a scam. Nobody sites the fact that during and since WWII, with so many countries' tanks, airplanes, trucks, etc. belching exhaust into the air, there was NOT EVEN A BLIP of the world's CO2 going up at all.

That's right, just keep following Super Al Gore like lemmings. When Gore was Vice President, he and BJ Clinton didn't even bring the Kyoto Protocol (exhaust regulations) to Congress to vote on it! I can't believe Answers even has a section for this crap.

Smile, do you know what a scam is? A Ponzi scheme is a scam. There are email lottery scams. Many used car lots are full of scams.

By definition, associating human activities with the ensuing climate changes is not a hoax, it is not a scam. You are fortunate enough or cursed to be on the planet when a situation of unparalled importance is unfolding. Because information -- in context, out-of-context -- is passed along instantly nowadays, material is out there that is misinterpreted, twisted, and, sometimes, wrong. This doesn't change the basic facts, and there's a lot of them. In fact, in the realm of universities, government and even industry, we've quietly moved past the "Is there" global warming stage to "How can we take action" and "How can we fund the actions we'd like to take?"

I have accumulated so many credible sources that I need to step back and sort them somehow, because all 14 together are a bit intimidating, perhaps. But different sites are more accessible to some than others, and each site has something different to offer. But the sum total of all of these sites is that even if there are a few bad apples in the bunch, even if some of the predictions are a little over the top, even if there are some hypocrites mixed in, there's a lot of good people, good agencies/departments, good research that's been done and is ongoing, and I for one am becoming less worried about the future because of all the efforts that have already taken place in assessing what global warming means to humanity, to the world.

Check out the sites. I think you'll find them useful.

Didn't you learn anything in school about global warming? It is not a scam, have you looked at the worlds weather over the past 70 years or so. Each year something new happens, it could be drought, flood, famine, fire, and etc. I am not agreeing with everything that the government has told us at all. But you really need to do some research before you make a comment like this.

What are your scientific credentials that qualify you to moderate and/or participate in such a debate consisting of "opinions" based on distorted and biased thinking. You have already shown your opinionated biases. You are for the most part unqualified and therefore also disqualified based on your prejudicial statements.! Studies, studies, studies, ... give me any statement (true or false) and somebody will generate data (lies and more lies) to support whatever you wish to prove. End of discussion. I am and applied scientist. We are "seeing" the effects of Global Warming. The items are too long to list here and I do not care to debate them. I will mention a few. The Northern Polar Ice Cap has shrunk drastically - so much so that for the first time in history ships have been able to freely navigate through the Northwest passage without aid from Canada's massive icebreakers. The Polar Bear is finding it more difficult to find it nomal food source in the areas of its habitual ice flows. The ice flow summer habitate has largely disappeared or is to be found only (too) much farther North. Insects that have never been native to our boreal forests have moved up from as far south as the Southern USA and Mexico and are now ravishing and destroying vast regions of our forests - particularly in British Columbia. Permafrost which has been essential for the preservation of support for buildings, pipelines and other Northern infrastructures is disappearing at a startling rate. Destructive weather patterns around the world are changing, getting more abundant and are much more destructive than they have ever been. The above are not exaggerations - they are recorded facts based on observations and carefully measured parameters and collected datum. Q.E.D.

Global Warming is NOT a scam! It is people like you that are not helping save our world because you don't want to believe it's true. Here is a site that shows graphs and statistics about Global Warming. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming
And once again, it is NOT a scam!

Global Warming is not a scam. It IS happening, i just isn't noticable because it happens so slow it is barely noticable until its too late.

Not quite. The public education system, that costs an unbelievable amount of money for very low production is the biggest scam.
They've got the country hoodwinked into believing that they are looking for the best for our children, while doing nothing but social engineering them to be dumbed down on the real facts, and lean to the socialist agenda

Yes, how people can listen to a truth challenged idiot like al gwhore? The 'science' they spew is based on maybe 100,000 years of ice core's history. That is about 1/10th of a second in the cosmic calender. Idiots...
