In the Christian religion its generally believed that you can be forgiven of anything but a sin again st the Holy Ghost

There is no sin that God will not forgive if you ask for forgiveness. However, God's forgiveness is conditional on the extent that you forgive others. Jesus stated that clearly in the Gospels. Jesus did say that those who "blaspheme against the Holy Spirit" will not be forgiven. Though the nature of this sin is not explained further in the New Testament, many theologians believe it is the sin of impenitence or failure to ask forgiveness of God for one's sins even at the very end of one's life.

Hi.God forgives all sins. The Holy Spirit IS GOD. Since the Holy Spirit is God, if you blaspheme against the Holy Spirit you are blaspheming against God and of course any sin is forgivable by God.

All sins, except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, can be forgiven.
Matthew 12:31-32: "And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."
Luke 12:10: "And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."
Blasphemy is defiantly and knowingly being irreverant or cursing the Holy Spirit. Most people who worry they have committed this sin have not; because those who have, will have no conscience regarding it or won't care if they've committed blasphemy.

God doesn;t forgive those sins committed against other people. Only the injured party can grant that forgiveness.
