Was it Fred W. Franz who helped translate the New World Translation Bible of the Jehovah Witness along with 3 or 4 other people? And who were they? Any information would be great, Thanks.

The people on the Translation Committee of the NWT requested that their names be kept confidential, and their request has been honoured by the Watchtower Society.
Accepting the info that people say is "inside info" is done at your own risk, because there is no way of confirming it.
I believe myself to be the most curious of human beings, but even I have decided to respect their wish to remain anonymous.
They did a wonderful job, though!!!
EDIT: The two ladies just below me choose to neglect the fact most of JW doctrine was in place before the NWT, meaning it was based on older Bible versions. Besides, JWs can use ANY Bible translation to preach and teach.

Although the members of the committee that translated the NWT wish to remain anonymous, Raymond Franz, a disfellowshipped former member of the Governing Body, has claimed that the translation committee consisted of 5 members:
Frederick William Franz
George Gangas
Karl Klein
Nathan Knorr
Albert Schroeder

Yes, that is what I have heard. NONE of the NWT translators had formal training in translating Biblical languages. That is the reason they do not want to be named. That translation is tailor made to support the Watchtower Society's peculiar doctrines. JWs are not Biblical Christians. They have twisted the Bible truth. They have also twisted the meaning of the Word Trinity and what real Christianity is about. That is a satanic organization that are leading millions to the hell.

Not one of the NWT translators have nay advanced education in the languages that the Bible was written in...The NWT is the first (bible) in history where the goal of translation is to support a slanted unchristian dogma.

The publishers never published the individuals names.
Someone who claimed to know, once published a list, but is not a reliable source.
The main thing is that it is a highly accurate translation, regardless of whoever worked dirctly on the translation of it.

Do you ask this of other translations or just the NWT?
If the translators wanted their names known, they would have published it.
