anything with Velcro works best. I bought the kind with stings on the side and she just tore them off. I actually made my own with elastic on the sides, but I realize that is impractical for most people .
Please consider getting your precious pet spayed its better for her health. :-)

They do to help keep blood off your carpet and furniture. But I won't trust them to keep her from being bred...so be careful. I always used the ones that were like panties with velcro....they appeared to be more comfortable and fit tighter than the belted ones. They are pretty expensive, though. I looked into them when my dachshund came in for the first time and ended up keeping her either crated or gated in the kitchen. I knew I was going to have her spayed after that, so I didn't want to invest in them. Those 21 days were a pain! Thank God she is now spayed and I don't have to go through that again!

i have a boxer dog and i put dog pants on her there not the easiest things to put on the dog but they do work but when she goes out in the garden for a poo you need to take them off and then put them on again when she comes back in so they are a bit of pain but at least they keep the blood off the carpets.

hope this helps

If you put pants on your dog she will never be able to learn to clean herself. When b1tches have their 1st season, they are not very good at cleaning themselves because they don't know what's happening but at subsequent seasons they become much cleaner and leave very little mess.

my boxer had her first season 2 months ago and i went to pet smart and bought her those pants they are brilliant. one thing i did do was instead of buying the special pads to go inside of the pants i went to the supermarket and bought a couple of boxes of pantie liners. it saved me loads. she will prob try to get them off for a day or two but will soon get used to them. just remember to take them off when she goes out to do her business lol. good luck x

We have to use them for our bull terriers, and no-they are rubbish. You just have to go about cleaning it up I'm afraid-sorry!
