We go to church (the building) for three reasons:
1) Fellowship with other believers,
2) Instruction in our faith,
3) Worship.

If your congregation is failing you in any of the three areas, it's time to find a new spiritual home.

I don't feel like we do. I think it would be better if we met at each other's houses and talked about the bible and came together as groups when something went wrong. Churches have become so commercialised. Money for the preacher, bigger buildings, more elaborate churches. I would rather be in a shack with a tin roof, and the true study of the bible, than to be in a big extravagant church, and a social show!

We as in a common populous, do not need a church. Only some do. It's a way to share, socialize, and belong. Others don't need that environment. We can feel we can believe in what we want without having to share it with others. The way I look at it, God created me. God didn't create a church. Man did that. That's on us.

How can we love God if we have to abbreviate His name as "G-D"?

And church is supposed to be a place where a group of people can go to worship God, I don't go to church because it's inconvientent on my life with my unsteady work schedule, but I don't feel it's important because I've had a lot of events in my life than shows me, at least, that God loves me and will keep me safe through any hard time.

You don't but the church is a huge money making empire that has convinced humanity for 2000 years that they cannot have god without the church.

The Protestant Reformation started because the Catholic church did not allow people to pray. They convinced their followers that god only listened to holy men, and for a fee the holy men would talk to god for you.

Martin Luther said that men could communicate with god without the church, hence the protestant reformation.

Churches make it easy to mass-manipulate. Imagine going door to door asking money and scaring people with boogeymen tales, it's just too cumbersome.
