I am one of two Sunday School teachers at my family's church. I teach two year olds and I am a senior in high school. I don't believe in God or anything. How would you feel if your two year old was in my class?

I pretty much just play with the kids and the other woman (a woman in her 60s) teaches the 5-minute lesson.

I teach Sunday School because my parents force me to go to church every Sunday and I'd rather play with little kids than sit through service.

I don't really talk to the kids about religion any; they're two so we mostly play with blocks and cars and stuff.

Pretty good. I wouldn't feel like you were pushing any beliefs on him. Depends what you were saying though. Although I don't have a kid, and if I did I wouldn't bring him to church.

2 year olds cant really be taught much beyond the very basics of God so I dont know how much negative influence your non belief can have. But if you see that you are slanting your lessons away from what the church teaches you should be honest and step down.
You dont have the right to go against what the parents brought these kids there to learn. It isnt your call. They arent your kids.

I would not be happy if my child was in your class.

You have a duty of care to tell the parents of these children, and the minister / pastor of the church what your beliefs are. Then they can make an informed decision for themselves.

These precious little souls need the correct instruction, their spiritual futures depends on it.

I implore you to do the right thing for them.

Well gee i would be concerned. if that church or whatever, if they followed the bible councel they would not allow you to be in that position. mainly because it is a bible teaching that qualified persons acording to the bible ought to be teachers including little tikes also.

I would be a poor christian parent to allow that to happen. good question.

Then why on Earth are you teaching lies? You should get out of there. I know it's hard to tell your family and community you might be Atheist, but if you don't believe it yourself, you are further brainwashing children. And two year olds don't think, they accept what their teachers and family tell them. So please, don't contribute to this!

Depends on what you are teaching the kiddies, I suppose.

I do not want that my child be associated with satan because non believers of God are satan.
