This is a tough question. Hmmmm? Well if I could get away with not worshiping the Bible god without spending an eternity in hell - I would. If this malevolent bully actually exists I would have no qualms about being dead forever and sacrificing an eternity in heaven. But, I sure in the hell would not would not want to spend an eternity in hell. I would probably worship him out of fear of persecution. The bible god threatens physical violence to those that disobey and don`t believe in him, if that`s the case what choice do we really have?

okay, lets make this very simple
God's existence is proved, no doubt, no argument.
you intellectually know God exists
you still would not find worship necessary, and even if you did, it would be of no value unless God himself calls you.
that is your answer:
the issue that atheism has with theism is the matter of spiritual issues. You can't test them in a lab, you can even find some tangible proof that you can take home to look at.
It is the call of the Father to the man or woman that makes worship have value, not the intellectual proof of the existence of God.
I actually think that you can reason the existence of God. Why, because evolution describes a mode of change, not the mechanism that makes the change. Abiogenesis describes the action, not the force behind it.
if you actually have an education, you know that the big bang is against all known physics, you also know that it is explained the physics we have not was not in effect at that moment.
I can go on, but believe what you will. the cross is foolishness to them that are perishing. the resurrection is a stumbling block to the jews and foolishness to the greeks.
your faith as well as mine, is faith. It is the object our faith is in, that really separates us into two groups, a sinner saved by grace, and a sinner, acquainted with the gift from God rejected.

Hm.... does that mean that the God I worship was proven to not exist at all? and that Zeus was the one and only God? with lots of little gods to do his bidding, but I don't worship them, just him?
Sounds like me already. ^_^

If the god in the bible was proven, I would become a believer but I still wouldn't worship him. I don't find that god worth my worship and undying devotion.

Depends on what kind of god it turned out to be. If he seemed like a nice guy--no, make that a profoundly wonderful guy, deserving of worship--then I might worship him.
If it turned out to be the god of the bible, then probably not...call me crazy, but I've just got a problem with sadistic racist murdering homophobes, god or not. He might be god, and I might be damned for it, but I wouldn't worship him.

Proving the god of the bible to really exists would not make him good.
There is an abundance of evidence in the bible that this god is a xenophobic, sadistic brute. He commits acts of murder, genocide and torture (Job). He has Abraham give up their daughters to be raped (the story of Sodom and Gomorrah). He is, in all of the stories of the bible, revealed to be a turly nasty and vile piece of work. If this were not the bible it would be considered snuff fiction and be banned from our schools.
Why would anyone worship this monster?

If you could prove to me that my God did not, and Zeus did, (prove mind you) I would be forced to admit my error. The only thing keeping me from it would be pride.
That said, I know my God personally. You stand a better chance of convincing me that I don't exist.
--edit BTW: This could have been accomplished. If the Romans or the Pharisees would have paraded the body of Jesus around Jerusalem on the 3rd day, there would be no Christianity. They could not do this.

Depends. If he happens to be a cruel and dominant god who wants himself to be worshiped, and employs hard bitten soldiers to whip up anyone who doesn't want to worship, and me not wanting to be hurt, then I would worship but still stay indifferent inside.
But if he proves himself by bringing peace and justice to the world, I'd be the first to kiss his feet!

Heck no I wouldn't worship Him, I'd be too busy trying to get the jerk impeached! There's got to be a way to get one of those other gods the Bible is always mentioning in power instead. Anybody would be better than Darth Jehovah!
