My father always gives my 1 and a half year old nephew junk foods. Can anyone please give me some reliable site that can help me explain to my father how bad junk foods are?

I would say, your life-span will be reduce by 10 minutes every time you eat junk food,without Exercising.When you eat junk food, try to balanced it with eating fresh fruits and vegetables.

Junk food got its name from what it is - junk. Nevertheless it is also comfort food. It tastes good. Usually it has more salt than you really want to eat which, in some people , leads to blood pressure problems. It is usually high in fat and often in calories which makes for fat kids which usually means fat adults with all the problems that follow Heart artery joints, socially unacceptable and so on. It is also unbalanced and misses lots of vitamins
Nevertheless in moderation an occasional Mc Donalds or whatever should not harm an active growing child.

well i'm no doctor but hear r some effects.too much sodium(salt) can destroy ur kidneys.trans fats witch i believe clog ur heart can result in heart attacks mostly found in chocolate and chese chips such as doritos nacho cheese. then there is the sugar which cause high blood sugar and can result in diabetese.you can have junk food sometimes but not to often and if you do eat lots of junk food be sure to exercise lots just go for a jog for about 20 minutes or go to the gym and get lots of dietary fibre which i think helps lower blood sugar.i'm not entirely sure about everything i've just said u should see ur doctor or nutrisitonist just to be sure.

for one thing. They hardly have any teeth and they can't chew good yet. Plus it gives them cavities since they don't brush their teeth very often or at all.
