Nobody is right (technically). Normally AF One is a heavily modified Boeing 747-200B model of which there are two that normally transport the president. People have said ANY aircraft the president of the US is on is Air Force One. This isn't the case. Any airforce aircraft that is flying the president is airforce one. Were it an army aircraft the callsign would be Army One, were it navy, then Navy One. If the president was flying on a commercial flight the callsing would be Executive One. If only the president's family is on board the callsign is Air Force/Marine/Navy/Army/Coast Guard/Executive One Fox Trot (aviation letter for F...F= family.) The Vice President's aircraft and family's plane follow the same except it is 2 not 1... Air Force 2 etc.

Not only is it technically any aircraft the President is on, but that is the exactly correct answer. Air Force One can, in theory, be a Piper Super Cub.
However, the current most used "is a Boeing 747-200B that has been modified to meet presidential requirements."
No matter what aircraft is used, it is only Air Force One when the President is on-board.

Actually, the "technically" is the correct answer to your question. It is whatever fixed wing aircraft the president is on.

i dont know what the plane is that is "normally" the everyday airforce one, but, i believe that it is any plane that is carrying the commander in chief (President of the United States) at that moment.
