The Englishman's wife steps up to the tee and as she bends over to place her ball, a gust of wind blows her skirt up and reveals her lack of underwear.

"Good God! Why aren't you wearing any knickers?" her husband asked.

"Well, you don't give me enough money to afford any."

He immediately reaches into his pocket and says "For the Sake of decency, here's 50 pounds; go and buy some underwear."

Next, the Irishman's wife bends over to set her ball on the tee. Her skirt also blows up to show that she is wearing no undies.

"Blessed Virgin Mary,woman! You've no knickers. Why not?"

She replies "I can't afford any on the money you give me"

He reaches into his pocket and says, "For the sake of decency, here's 20 pounds; go and buy some!"

Lastly, the Scotsman's wife bends over. The wind also takes her skirt over her head to reveal that she too, is naked under it.

"Sweet mudder of Jesus, Aggie! Where the frig are yer drawers?"

She too explains, "You dinna give me enough money ta be able ta affarrd any."

The Scotsman reaches into his pocket and says "Well, fer the love 'oJasus 'n the sake of decency, here's a comb. Tidy yerself up a bit."

You are correct - some horses are more vocal than others. Also, you make a very poor statement - horses are incapable of love. You're not liking that are you? Let me give you an example provided by my college phych professor. It was funny, but proves a point. You can look lovingly at your dog, smile, pat him on the head and say quietly "I'm going to cut your heart out with a butter knife" - he'll look loving up at you and wag his tail. 5 minutes later you can turn to him quickly, and show "I LOVE YOU" and he'll **** on your shoe. They don't love you and they don't understand your words. Horses understand 3 basic needs: Food, Safety and social structure. They must have food to survive, as a prey animal they are always in danger of predators. their social structure is used to keep them safe. In any interaction between a horse and other horses, or other creatures such as humans has to have a leader and a follower in the horse's eyes. A human leader is not a leader simply because they are human, they are a leader because they've proven their ability to keep the other safe, fed and act in a way a horse-leader would. So - when a horse seems focused on a human, it's because that horse sees that human as an acceptable leader - only the most dominant of horses really desire to make decisions - most of them like to be followers and want to do what they are requested if the request is made from a trusted leader. So - a horse nickers to get your attention not because it 'loves you' but because it's learned that you'll give it food or pet it or somehow give it something it wants. I fall into this trap too- though. Two of my girls - a mare and a filly - nicker to me when I pull in the driveway. I smile and immediately think how nice that is, then immediately realize they are expecting that I'll soon come feed them. When they realize I usually go in the house first and feed later, they nicker less and less.
