If you mean, do they incorporate a still photograph facility, some do. My Canon MV750i does, for example, but it is only about 1mp.

There was one hybrid that had a separate still camera.

There is a Sanyo that does both real video and 5 MP stills with a 5x optical zoom for $300. It's a GROWN UP version of the $180 Vue little toy, which, on it's own, isn't a bad camera, but it's digital zoom not optical.

There is the Canon TX-1 which is a still camera that, like the Sanyo, does 720x480 30 FPS video in AVI format, so you can Movie Maker it.

That's probably yoiur best bet because the Sanyo is MP4 which won't Windows Movie Maker, you have to buy editing software or conversion software.

I think the Vue does AVI, but I'm not sure.

You NEED an AVI file unless you want to spend $300-$500 on software.

YOu need optical zoom

You NEED to be able to zoom while shooting video

You need 720 video NOT 640

Unless, of course, you are just aiming for You Tube.
