Well, you have to take off the leaves and cut the skin.
I know people want fresh fruit, but can't you wait until it's peeled and sliced? lol :-P

I'm not sure being cut is the best term but as far as I can tell, it's the acid from the pineapple that's actually doing the "cutting". Some people, maybe like you, are very susceptible to these kinds of acids. (Be glad, you have tender skin, also very kissable lips! B> ). My grandma (bless her soul) used to tell me to line my mouth first with sugar. I'm not sure it works though... just make me think the pineapple is sweeter than it is.

Pineapples contain an enzyme which breaks down proteins often used to tenderize meats, so it will irritate your mouth and make it feel like it got cut. More is contained at the fibrous core of the pineapple.

Are you peeling the outside of the pineapple off or eating the spiky part? Maybe you're allergic? Or it's too acidic and tearing up the inside of your soft mouth.

Pineapple is a organic source of the enzyme Bromelain, which digests proteins. once you consume pineapple, it in fact eats you ideal lower back! once you swallow it, it gets dissolved so no harm is completed on your abdomen, yet do no longer rather consume extra advantageous than a a million/2 of a pineapple at a time. i individually does not propose even that quantity! you're getting cuts because of enzyme, no longer because of the fact of shards of glass in the fruit or because of the fact of comfortable pores and skin. technology.

Pineapple is high in ascorbic acid. According to nutritionists, If you smear honey on it, it'll neutralize this.

Sprinkle salt on the pineapple and it won't happen. Learned this from a Hawaiian native.

cos you see, the outside of the pineapple is Thorny, so there's a possibility that inside the pineapple there are thorns and you didn't remove it properly
