My experience suggests the two are often incompatible, but what do you have to say about it?

one, your faith "dies" there and you are trained what to believe: they refer this seminary training as the Cemetery

the other: Pauline and Jim Jones type educations and metamorphosis eureka types, this is called revelation and fringe christianity that is so outlandish it cannot be proven or studied, with equal numbers of sheeple who follow the educated or lunatic like Aimee Semple McPhereson

Those who have attended a conservative Seminary, usually come out a strong Biblical foundation for their beliefs. Good Christian seminaries teach students the history of the Bible, the history of the church, teach them exogesis (how to interpret a scripture within the context of the passage) and teach them why they believe what they believe. The everyday Christian is usually not aware of the history of the church, nor is he well versed in the cultural aspects of Biblical teaching, so he is trying to interpret a 1st century book with 21st century views. The seminary teaches people how to interpret the Bible from the standpoint of the early believers.

The liberal seminaries however, have drop kicked the Bible. Many of them do not even believe in the resurrection, and are teaching nothing more than a social gospel, and teach men how to be career preachers, who give only lip service to their congregations about Biblical truth. They teach them how to cleverly disguise their liberal beliefs behind code language, like 'the mystery of the resurrection'. Such men do little to teach or instruct Christians in the way of a solid, saving faith.

A seminary is often mocking termed a CEMETARY as when a 'minister' comes out their faith is actually DEAD, and they are simply a business man. I once asked a Baptist minister what went on with him in seminary, he told me they actually did not teach much scriptural issues, but mainly operation of business, non-profit, ..... as well as non-prophet perhaps. It has been planned that way, I beleive there is a conspiracy to do just that,,,,DESTROY the faith of the new incoming and send them out STUPID as a bag of rocks and lacking faith..... I am not alone, as there are books availble sying the same.
