its because you don't understand that brainwash can completly rob a person of all reason when it comes to a particular topic, in this case religion, that you have this question. A person can be a Harvard educated doctor and still not believe in evolution. it happens. When people are stuck on a religious belief they're stuck.

Science has not proved that a literal account of creation is wrong. Well accepted scientific 'facts' are proven wrong almost every day. Science and common sense used to indisputably 'prove' that the world was flat until they realized their scientific big brains were wrong.
If you put 3 scientists in a room to discuss the beginnings of the universe, they will be arguing and shouting within 15 minutes. They don't even agree with each other---much less offer anything that could possibly be construed as "proof". When science explores or publishes some new theories, it should not be misunderstood to imply that science has "proved" something. A sensational headline of the day is not "proof". Just have patience. One day, eventually, science will prove that creation occurred exactly as was described in the Bible. Science and the Bible are compatible. Science just needs time to catch up.

As a Christian the only way i replaced into ever waiting to sq. up a number of the subject concerns with the bible replaced into the certainty the church I belonged to did no longer require a literal interpretation of the bible. Now i'm relatively commencing as much as have self belief that the bible and all different religions are synthetic products. The bible is the very rfile it relatively is assisting me to return to this end. hence i won't be able to be sure how all of us can carry a literal interpretation of the bible it relatively is basically no longer achieveable for all of it to be actually authentic and in basic terms blind faith it relatively is what the fundamentalist will carry to is the only achieveable rationalization they can furnish. they'll basically say they believe and that's how they be responsive to it relatively is authentic. So if we are to have self belief the bible actually then i think actual sorry for slaves and ladies persons in this international.

Science has proved no such thing. If you had done your home work you would discover there is very little disagreement between the two. Secondly you would know if you had studied about the bible not everything is literal in it and many things have more than one meaning. They don't admit they're wrong because they are right.

I would be curious to see this scientific empirical evidence. All I know is that God created man from the ground, a ground that had been covered in water before God separating the dry land. The result was a creation that is 70%-80% water and that when we die we return to the dust from which we were formed. Either Moses was a man of science that we did not know about or He is a man that was told by God the truth of our creation.

People don't understand that God works through the natural.
They want to believe the fairy tales and forget that the world around us is real. We don't fully understand everything about the theory of evolution, but we do see it taking place right before our eyes. Once science unlocks the mysteries completely I think people will open their eyes to that fact. On the other hand just because you believe in evolution doesn't mean that God doesn't exist either, no one can prove or disprove that one either, you can only choose to believe or not.

I am a Scientist and a Christian. Some times if you take things on FAITH and not by sight you might learn some truths. Read the bible with faith and remember that some of it is real and some of it was meant as a teaching will give you more insight into FAITH.
May God bless you

How exactly does science prove an historical event did not occur? Which method was used to prove this? Testing, retesting, observation, falsification?

First of all, science cannot prove anything to be absolutely true, since all things could potentially be proven false.
Second of all, the story of God and Jesus was boring, and would much rather teach my kids about Green Eggs and Ham, or The Cat in the Hat, who are much better childrens stories, with much better fictitious characters.

Clam the Burnout, we have our beliefs and you have yours. We get ours from God. You get yours from who-knows-where. Why do you care about our beliefs?
By the way, science hasn't come anywhere near proving any part of the Bible wrong.

Personally, I do not believe in the Bible or God, but people are allowed to have their own opinions.
Instead of openly ridiculing someone try writing an essay or doing a friendly, professional debate on the topic.
