I currently have 2 standard schnauzer's and a beagle.. they compliment each other well.. the two terriers are more dominant and the beagle is pretty mellow.. I think it has less to do with breed and more to do with individual personality of the dogs.. but, as long as the personalities fit, and they are introduced on neutral ground.. any breed should do fine.. (although, i'd suggest something that isn't a terrier.. just because they all tend to bark.. and it's that rather high pitch terrier bark)

A Miniature Schnauzer is 12"-14" on the shoulder. The toy Schnauzer isn't referred to as a breed by utilising the yankee Kennel club, whether some breeders attempt to offer Miniature Schnauzers that are below 10 inches, and that they call them "Toy Schnauzers". regular (17"-20") and significant (23"-28") Schnauzers are additionally known by utilising the AKC.

I think for small dogs, miniature schnauzers are great. However, if you can have a larger dog, consider the goldendoodle! Mine is great; she doesn't shed, she has an easy to maintain coat, she's smart, loyal and very very sweet! I think these are absolutely wonderful dogs. Just make sure to do your homework, like with any dog, and make sure the parents are OFA certified and have good bloodlines!

We share our home with a chow mix, yorkie/schnauzer mix, shelti mix, & 3 toy poodles. All of them get along well. I believe whatever dog you get, as long as you are careful to introduce them & monitor while they are learning to live together, it'll work out. Try taking in one that's in need of a good loving home & you won't be sorry.
