When they say,"Jesus died for our sins," I think that would cover all of the above. Wouldn't you?

Christ died for the sins of His people, all their sins were forgiven by that work, nothing more needs to be done. Baptism does not bring forgiveness, redemption or justification. It is simply an outward expression of an inward change. It is a public proclamation of your new life in Christ.

We don't get baptized to be forgiven of original sin. We get baptized to take part in the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus. Forgiveness of your sins comes after baptism.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit."

Acts 2:37-41 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."
With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

1 Peter 3:20-21 who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Colossians 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

Ezekiel 18:20-21 The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him. But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die.

Ezekiel 18:30-32 "Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a NEW SPIRIT. Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

Christian baptism, according to the Bible, is an outward testimony of what has occurred inwardly in a believer’s life. Christian baptism illustrates a believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Bible declares, “Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life” (Romans 6:3-4 NIV). In Christian baptism, the action of being immersed in the water pictures being buried with Christ. The action of coming out of the water pictures Christ’s resurrection.

In Christian baptism, there should be two requirements before a person is baptized: (1) the person being baptized must have trusted in Jesus Christ as Savior, and (2) the person must understand what baptism signifies. If a person knows the Lord Jesus as Savior, understands that Christian baptism is a step of obedience in publicly proclaiming his faith in Christ, and desires to be baptized – then there is no reason to prevent the believer from being baptized. According to the Bible, Christian baptism is simply a step of obedience, a public proclamation of one’s faith in Christ alone for salvation. Christian baptism is important because it is a step of obedience – publicly declaring faith in Christ and commitment to Him, and identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

After repentance to Jesus and believing He is the Son of God. Baptizing is not mandatory. That is up to you.

It symbolizes a washing away of your sins. But when you decide this is what you won't, the feeling is awesome when you come up from that water, knowing that this symbolizes purity.

you made an error because you don't know the Scriptures, no baptism required for forgivness of sins, just faith in Jesus.

Remember the man next to Jesus on the cross who didn't have the chance to be baptized, yet Jesus told him that he would be with Jesus in paradise!

Because Jesus and the Apostles told us to.

Matthew 28:19: Jesus said, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit."

Mark 16:15-16:
He said to them, "Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Acts 2:38
Peter (said) to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit.

With love in Christ.

Baptism is an ordinance of the church to be done by a believer. It is done in obediance because we are to do as Jesus did. Also, as a symbol of being born or water.

It's not nearly as simple as you might think.

Jesus' death made the forgiveness of sins possible, but people continue to be born alienated from God, and enslaved to satan, sin, and death.

It's left up to each of us to choose to reject satan and all his works, and then swear faithful allegiance to Jesus ... typically through baptism into his church ... in order to obtain salvation.

Otherwise, we would simply be trading in slavery to satan for slavery to Jesus ... and that's not what God had in mind for his creation.
