Buy One at a time, and start with just two or three different kinds, and as soon as you hit a winner on one kind of card, stop playing that game and stick to the next scratch game.
2.You could also become a LURKER. Meaning that you hang around the convenience store/gas station waiting for someone else to waste their money on loser tickets and then after they scratch and leave, buy the next ticket in the roll (the same game they were playing) However I must warn you that many people (including myself) HATE LURKERS so don't be to much of a pest about it, the key is to be inconspicuous, and stay behind the scenes, go buy a ticket, slink off to your own private corner, and scratch your tickets quietly and don't let any other person see or know if your tickets were winners or losers, just put them all in your pocket and when you are finally done playing, take them home and sort them out.

buy some cards, scratch 'em off, you lose..buy some more, scratch 'em off, you lose again....when you mortgage your house to buy some more, you win 5 bucks and lose your house !! (:o)
