"Anybody that says "no" should be questioned: How do they possibly *know* that He does not exist?"
That door swings both ways. How can you possibly *know* that he/she/they/it does?
As for the Santa Claus comment... isn't that pretty accurate? Some guy who sits at the north pole with a list of bad kids and good kids and good kids get presents and bad kids get coal and some guy who sits int he sky with a list of repentors and sinners and the repentors go to heaven and the sinners go to hell? Just a thought...

I personally believe that only God... or perhaps better defined as Consciousness... is all that can and does exist. At the highest level, there is Love, Joy, Peace, Godhood and Enlightenment. Just the same, the lowest levels describe what we believe in as "Satan" or "Demons. We are at all times 'vibrating' at some point on the Consciousness 'scale'. It is we who are God or Satan; we are creating Heaven or Hell for ourselves, in our daily lives, individually and collectively with each thought, word and deed. This is where "free will" is so well-explained by an understanding of God as "Unity Consciousness" or "Divine Mind"/ Zero Point Energy, and why there is suffering in our world that no "God" seems willing or able to end.
Man's version of God is very much a fear-mongering human ploy to keep people subservient to their corrupt leaders. Only when fear of this "God" is overcome, can one think outside the box.

God is not who people typically portray Him as. He's not some guy who sits in the sky and watches people and makes stuff. "He" is not actually a "He" at all. God is genderless. It's like saying is happiness a girl or a boy.
What I believe is that God is more of a spirit inside us. "He" helps us love others and spread peace. "God 's kingdom" is not a physical place but a more an inner (inside you) kingdom. To be part of the kingdom, we must love everyone, help the poor, etc.
Sorry if I confused you but this is pretty much what we learn in religion class. I hoped this helped!

I'll start believing in a god when evidence presents itself. Until then, God is in the same category as Santa and leprechauns.
By the way, the rising of the sun is not evidence of any supernatural beings.

Yes... tell me an instance in which something less complex/ rational created something more complex/ rational. A bee creates honey a man creates a house or a painting or whatever, but honey could never create a bee a painting could never create a man. Nature or the universe could not have created something as rational and complex as man. Nature shows us that creation moves from more complex/ rational to less complex/ rational. Therefore something more complex and more rational than man must have created man and that something is God.

This is such a loaded question. I guess it depends on how you define God.
A creative force? pure awareness?
pissed off old man in the sky?
Unforunately, much of the time God is assumed to be the christian god effectively shuting down any meaningful dialogue and eliminating any possiblity of growth.
I see God as the infinite All the I AM..
