ELIYAH, or ELIYAHU would be more accurate to some, and some people STILL PRONOUNCE these spellings as most would pronouce it as you have spelled it.

I have no problem with Elijah nor Elisha, whose son, Methuselah, who was the oldest man that ever lived, died before he did.
I wish you would not associate me with everyone that does not attempt to live a Christian life. I don't just read, I study. I often use a concordance and a dictionary while I am reading, along with my lexicon.

Because most believers are hypocrites. I firmly believe that if half as many people read the bible as claimed to read it (and I don't just mean the moronic practice of reading the same verses over and over), atheists would be the majority in our population.

Probably because your son's name is mostly in the Old Testament and not used very much today. Why are you so judgemental? Why would you use such a little thing, as spelling your child's name, to bring criticism on a Christian brother or sister. Amazing!

i don't think spelling has anything to do with reading the Bible, maybe reading in general but they just might be bad spellers or have you thought that Elijah might be a difficult name to spell....something to ponder
