Most foods can be ate rotten. Ever hear of the 100 year old egg? It just depends on how sick your willing to get. Bananas in particularly have been domesticated and will last pretty long but if a person is going to eat bananas partly rotten, they should cook the bananas because cooking will pasteurize the bananas ... P.S. The mold/rot does not have to be eaten.

Yes so do I and there is nothing wrong with that - in fact they digest a lot better when they are ripe (not rotten). The over ripe ones I put in my freezer to make banana bread out of when I have the time. Also great in milkshakes!

Yes, it's ok. Try this place some mashed rotten bananas in a bowl with some chewing gum mixed in and let it marinate overnight. When you chew the gum the next day you will get the biggest high you ever experienced in your life! The gum absorbs certain components from the bananas and it will go straight to your blood stream and the best part it's all legal!

Cracked as in you can see the edible bits inside? Def a no-eat. The skin is what protects the fruit from going bad too quickly, or spoiling. If there are inside parts that are open to the air then it is not safe and a hazard to eat.

That is actually the true "ripe" stage for bananas. when they are solid yellow they are not ready yet, and can give you quite a stomachache. When they begin to turn brown is when their sugar content is at it's highest. So, no, you are not weird, at least not about this. :)

As long as there is no holes for worms in the banana skin, I think they are ok. I like them actually cuz they taste sweeter.
