I hate Vista and I have nothing but trouble with it so I want to remove it and use XP Pro on my Dual Core.

Do you have an XP Pro CD? When you have one, boot it and remove all existing partitions. Then create a new partition and install XP in it.

You may run into driver problems if XP has never run on that system.

When you install XP, you will have the option to delete the Vista partition on your hard drive. After you delete it, you can tell it to create a new partition and install XP onto it.
