Yes, if you were meant to struggle and to fail. We can learn a lot from our failures.

We aren't all here to be brilliant successes, have you noticed?

Besides if the answer was no, that would mean no Christian who listens to Jesus would ever fail at anything, and they do, so the answer has to be yes.

Everything Jesus tells us to do is intended to be done by the Power of the Holy Spirit within us. That's why He says it not by might or by power but, by My Spirit says the Lord. Like someone said, He equips us for what he tells us to do. Our biggest problem is that we think we have the resources within self; we depend on our education, our intellectual knowledge, our own understanding and mostly our own will power. None of these things are wrong but we are not to depend on them in the place of the Holy Spirit because even if we succeed in the flesh we will be a failure in the eyes of God or we will struggle and struggle while constantly being defeated. That is why many times the Lord will require us to do something He knows we cannot do on our own and it overwhelms us.
Moses and Abraham are two prime examples.

No. That is why you have your own free will. If you do not want to believe God or Our Lord Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit, go on your way until you will come to repent because at the judgement time God will really punish you.

Jesus created the beautiful minds we all share and the intelligence know what is possible for a human body and what is not. He is not about our shortcomings or failures. His love for us will give us the strength and patience to endure the dissappointments of day to day living.

No He wouldn't.

But in our human, limited minds we would like to THINK that Jesus is asking the impossible when He said, "Be ye perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."

Christ tells us this because it IS attainable; it IS possible to do. But we have to work at it. Nothing this good will come easy.
