Tell her the truth... you couldn't make it because were packing boxes for your parents. If she can't understand that... hmmm

well you should call her asap bc the longer you wait the harder it will be. So just call her and tell her youre sorry that you couldnt go bc your parents said you needed to help them with the boxes and since u had got in an argument the night b4 u didnt want to upset them some more and that you want to see her soon and give her something when u do.

Call her and wish her a happy birthday. Explain that you couldn't make it because your family needed you and you're sorry you didn't call. It's a simple thing. Don't make it more complicated than it is. If she's a true friend, she'll understand and thank you for calling.

if you couldn't go cause the parents needed help just tell her up front that you couldn't go you had to help move and that is it. tell her if you felt you would like to have gone that you would have but you had to help. that would make it ok and i would call her and let her know. she could be hurt about this and worried but that is nice jesture only.

Call her. Explain to her what happened. Tell her you were thinking of her. Then get her a gift to make up for all of it.

call her and say... that a family emergency came up and you had no choice. Even if it isn't true, tell her you would have come to her birthday if you had a choice. I have had this happen to me before and you have to not lie but not say everything. good luckz!

You owe her an apology. You know you do. She's your friend and it was her birthday. I'm sure she would have understood that you had to help your parents.
