There is no such as holy water and if you believe it is holy who made it holy? The priest? or the pastor?
How can the priest or pastor maake the water holy is they are not holy creatures?

Man should wash his sin through baptism in the God, the Father, of the Son, Jesus Christ and with fresh clean water.

Maybe you have join the false religion that is why you have comments on the water where your friend is supposed to be baptize.

I'm sure they clean the baptismal pools regularly. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. It should be OK. Holy water means that it's been blessed, but this wouldn't change the color or temperature of the water.

I was baptized in the river Jordon,,,down below my house,,,it might be salt and fresh water combined,,I"m not sure...I live on the Coast...at any rate, it smelled great,,and I felt clean when I came up....I didn't want to be baptized in an inside pool...of course if that was all I had,,,I would have done it.

They probably don't fill it up daily....you should call the church and ask...they would tell you and no one would know who you are over the phone if you're too embarassed to ask in person.

I doubt its been there 100 years...if it has been there a while they might treat it like a regular pool to make sure the water doesn't turn green or murky.

na... that place probably smells bad because the surroundings need cleaning! The water used is always filled up before the service with clean, filtered, everyday water. I'm pretty sure any "holy water" would be pretty darn nasty by now!

The water in the baptismal font at my church is chlorinated. It's kept clean and it's also cleaned out. It's also really warm water. But who know where you went. The water could have been gross or the surrounding could have been gross or you could have just been smelling your upper lip.

No, its cleaned regularly. Also, the pool of water is drained periodically, baptismal cleaned, refilled. I recommend you get baptized in Jesus' name immediately. Hallelujah!!!

Holy Water just means that the priest/paster blessed it. It can be new water (which it probably is.) The tub probably just needs to be cleaned out.

Well I don't know about that church but there was a church near the park I used to work for that dunked people in the river and let me tell you, that water was foul.
