Could you give me a list of some foods that are forbidden to your religion or culture, and if possible why?

Any characterized as "unclean" or "common" in Scripture. "Unclean" is usually an animal that does not fit the Scriptural identifying features for "clean". The "COMMON" is a clean animal but it has not been killed or prepared properly. There would also be animals that have been offered to idols. I believe praying over food in 'jesus' name is offering the food to an idol, so I also will not eat that.
When it comes to unclean animals, parts and byproducts are to be included as unetable. PEPSIN is an ensyeme from the stomachs of pigs used for numerous 'food' products including coaglulation of cheese products, PEPTO BISMOL, PEPCID AC, etc. Preparation H uses shark oil... Swine and Shark are unclean. Shrimp are unclean. Catfish unclean. RED DIE is used in 'food' products which is made from the wings of a partiuclar cochroach, termed 'carmine' and cochineal, we will not eat this. You can find it in many things, pink grapefruit juice sometimes, peppermint candy sometimes, etc.

Many think the New Covenant permits the eating of anything. However, if one studies carefully 1 TImothy 4, Paul specifically forbids it in no less than four statements if one understands them properly. ALL animals where not CREATED for the purpose of them being eaten. ALL are NOT "sanctified by the WORD OF YAHWEH", this is done in Leviticus and Duet., which is part of the "WORD OF YAHWEH". See Heb. 9:15, are we to assume Yahshua came to redeem us from transgressing these laws of Yahweh, so only we could continue to break them?? Of course not.

Leviticus chapter 11 lists the dietary restrictions God gave to the nation of Israel. The dietary laws included prohibitions against eating pork, shrimp, shellfish and many types of seafood, most insects, scavenger birds, and various other animals. The dietary rules were never intended to apply to anyone other than the Israelites. The purpose of the food laws was to make the Israelites distinct from all other nations. After this purpose had ended, Jesus declared all foods clean (Mark 7:19). God gave the apostle Peter a vision in which He declared that formerly unclean animals could be eaten: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15). When Jesus died on the cross, He fulfilled the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15). This includes the laws regarding clean and unclean foods. Romans 14:1-23 teaches us that not everyone is mature enough in the faith to accept the fact that all foods are clean. As a result, if we are with someone who would be offended by our eating “unclean” food, we should give up our right to do so as to not offend the other person. We have the right to eat whatever we want, but we do not have the right to offend other people, even if they are wrong. For the Christian in this age, though, we have freedom to eat whatever we wish as long as it does not cause someone else to stumble in his/her faith. In the New Covenant of grace, the Bible is far more concerned with how much we eat than what we eat. Physical appetites are an analogy of our ability to control ourselves. If we are unable to control our eating habits, we are probably also unable to control other habits such as those of the mind (lust, covetousness, unrighteous hatred/anger) and unable to keep our mouths from gossip or strife. We are not to let our appetites control us; rather, we are to control them (Deuteronomy 21:20; Proverbs 23:2; 2 Peter 1:5-7; 2 Timothy 3:1-9; 2 Corinthians 10:5).

Pork was/is forbidden for Judaism and Islam.

The reason is due to the poor resources in the part of the world where these religions arose.

A cow, for instance, is a ruminant (has 4 stomachs) and as such can eat food that a human cannot digest (ie grass) and produce from it a product that humans can digest (milk).

A pig on the other hand has only one stomach, so what you have to feed a pig, you could also eat yourself. This means th pig is in direct competition with you for limited food resources.

As a result, in places where resources were limited, like Israel and Arabia, pigs were in disfavor and religious laws came to reflect that.

Muslims and Jews dont eat pork, in all its forms.
Christians shouldnt eat pork but in the NT Paul made it permissible for them, so really they are Paulians not xtians, because they follow Paul not christ who did not eat pork.
Islam forbids alcohol and other mood altering drugs etc.
Muslims should not marry the women or eat the food of idolaters.
Blood and humans are not to be eaten in Islam either, or is that too obvious.

Some religions still have forbidden foods. But in my belief, when Jesus fulfilled the old law, He made every thing clean.
So in my religion there are no forbidden foods.

I was raised Catholic, but not Catholic anymore. Many Catholics during lent would choose to give up something like meat on Fridays during this time. So for some Catholics, meat would be forbidden on Fridays during the time of Lent. Not sure if this applies at other times.

We don't have any forbidden foods because we are raised to be omnivores. We eat meat & veggies, we just try not to eat each other, (no pun intended here).

Every food can be eaten as long as it is good food for your body.
God punished Adam and Eve not because of the forebidden fruit that they have eaten but because of their disobedience to God. They have disobeyed the law of God when they were enticed by the devil to eat the said fruit. Instead of them to obey God, they followed the enticing words of the evil spirit.
