I think it's sort of like TV, but for the more intelligent.



Just as TV is addictive because one never knows exactly what is going to happen next, Y!A is addictive because one never knows whether the next question will be about sex, pets, movies, mental illness, or one's favorite hobby.

i'm addicted to answering questions interior the "desktops & information superhighway" classification as a results of fact i've got been into desktops as a results of fact the 80's and have been on line for the reason that 1998, so I do have lots of understanding and adventure to share! I in basic terms attempt to furnish reliable, sturdy solutions. i do no longer answer if i don't be responsive to, just to assert something stupid, like a lot of human beings do, on right here.

im not sure but its like potato chips u cant have just one like a drug

u come on here to ask a question and maybe just answer a few

but u cant stop and even tho the points arent worth anything i still want them and i dont wanna stop untill i get more and more and more and when i got to a higher level i dont even have a limit of how many i can answer a day now ( =

It's like any other habit forming activity. The positive feedback cycle lessens over time, so you have to keep going at it in order to reach satisfaction. I'm glad you asked this, because it makes me realize that I have to log off and get some sleep.

i dont know but i cant stop. an hour ago i said im just gonna log on and check quick. i had about 10 network question, 5 answers, and about 3 notifications. and i somehow ended up here. if you find a cure, let me know.
