The only safe pain killers for cats are the ones prescribed by your vet... do not give them anything you would give a human.

If the vet didn't give you any, then maybe the cat doesn't need any... I didn't get any when my cat was fixed, and my Zeeken is just fine. He was a little lazy the first night, but was himself the following day.

If its been longer than a couple of days and your cat still seems to be in pain or not quite herself, bring her back to the vet as there may be something else going on.

There are no meds that you should be giving this cat without calling your vet first and getting the prescribed dosage for a pain med. Even if your vet doesn't believe in pain meds for a spay if you insist they will have to prescribe a medication.

I would also suggest that you change vets. Most vets nowadays know that this is a painful surgery (even if our cats and dogs don't seem to show any outward pain). The fact that your vet didn't prescribe anything tells me that he or she is not keeping up with the world of vet med.

Do not give your cat pain killers - they can be poisinous to a cat. Most cats heal ok on their own after being spayed. Just keep her quiet. If she does seem to be in a lot of pain, call your vet.

You are definitely going to have to be there every step of the way, you need to give him a lot of care and love. You might have to hold the cat over the litter box and he will probably know what to do. Or maybe call & ask the doctor what you should do for this matter. Good luck and I'm so sorry this happened.

No human pain killers are not for cats.Or dogs at that matter. I would go back to the vet and tell them your kitty is in pain. I'm sure they'll help you. Take care.

No. Never give a cat medication intened for human use. You can call the vet and ask if they can give you something, but I doubt your cat is in a lot of pain.

No dont ever be tempted to give your cat meds that are for humans. Cats can get a very toxic reaction from them and even die. Go to the vet annimal meds are much differant in formular to humans.
