Sunshine KNOWS her Gunsmoke!
There were several:
The Man In Black....The first shoot-out was with Arvo Ojala.
The second shoot-out with the Man In Black was with
Fred McDougall.
The Third shoot-out with the Man In Black was with Bill Strathman.
I have been a fan of the one and only James Arness for 52 years.
Gunsmoke was the best written show on tv, ever. It had the most fabulous cast and greatest guest stars imaginable!!

After much searching on the web, the best answer that I could find was this quote: "In the show's pre-credit sequence, Marshal Dillon and an anonymous gunfighter would square off at high noon. The other guy always drew first, but Dillon's bullet found its mark."
