They same reason Christians
find it hard to believe that the
rest of us do not want to convert
to their way of thinking.
Not the Atheists nor the Pagans
nor any one else.
Hey, let me invent this new deity, I think I'll call her "Notgnihsaw".
She is all powerful and knows what is best for all humanity. Do you believe in her?
Is she real to you?

It's hard for most of us to accept invisible beings, just because someone else says, it's so.
I can make up all sorts of documentation to prove that she exists...
And now, maybe for once someone can actually see why, it is so hard to accept the Christian views on the subject of an invisible God.

You're right. I've seen the error of my ways. I only hope I'm not too late to join in with the Christians in Africa exploiting the hunger of Children in third world country for conversion.

in case you talk with a biologist, geologist, astronomer, nuclear physicist, and so on., possibilities are high they would be an atheist. the people who instructed me a god existed had nowhere close to as lots of a clue approximately our origins as maximum scientists do, and maximum scientists don't think in any deity. you be responsive to the logic, you're basically ignoring it.

Probably for the same reason a theist like myself finds the notion of space-fairies (aliens) so stupid. The exact same reason, just different.

I like the downplaying of rape and stoning of children for acting up myself. Makes for great bed time stories.

Worry about your own morals and not someone else's.

And maybe your argument would have been okay in a different era. But the Christian Church is not today an opresser. You are simply spewing hate.
