Try switching the type of shavings you use for your hamster - you might be allergic to that, rather than the hamster.

First of all exterminate papaw9446 for being an idiot and second of all make sure you are absolutely allergic to your hamster before giving him away. Try different beddings because I know lots of people are allergic to some hamster beddings. If you still think it's the hammie you are allergic to then find a good loving home for him. I would take him but I'm not sure where Ooltewah is...I live in Southern California. I have 2 hamsters of my own and I have owned 5 altogether so my home is perfect for him.:) Good luck.

The bedding may be the problem. If you are using wood shavings, which can be dusty, try carefresh or corncob or shred some paper (not newspaper) and use that.
If you have to find him a new home, try a classifieds site like www.cragislist.org or www.kijiji.com.
