My docs said that they should have been able to find the heartbeat. But everything looked normal besides that. I am supposed to be 8 weeks or so, but I only measured 6 weeks.

The doctors seemed really worried, which is what got me really worried. I am supposed to be about 8 weeks, but only measured 6 weeks. They sent me to go get the hormone test done, and on tuesday... the 13th.... I am going to get another ultrasound done. They said that if they cant find it then, then they want to move on to procedures that will help me miscarry. If I lose this baby, it will be my 3rd miscarriage. THATS WHY I'M WORRIED.

If there dates are correct and they are not always correct and have been wrong with me twice than they should have heard the heartbeat. If they are off by 2 weeks than it could be too early to hear.

Did they schedule you for another ultrasound in 2 or 3 weeks?

You and your baby could be just fine although a little off of what the doctor says is the time line.

I had an ultrasound when I thought I was 7 weeks but I measured at 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I had one the following week to see how things where progressing (8 weeks by dates) I measured at 7 weeks and they could see the heartbeat but it certainly wasn't easy to see. It was this flashing pin point size bit on the ultrasound and if the tech moved the probe it disappeared. So don't stress too much, it is still early. While you should see a heartbeat at 8 weeks, you are only measuring at 6 weeks and may have ovulated later than you thought and therefore it would be fine not to see a heart beat. I hope they tested your HCG levels and booked you in for a follow up ultrasound and blood test in about a week.
Oh... also, was it a transvaginal ultrasound... I would assume it would have been but if it was an abdominal one then it's not surprising they couldn't find a heartbeat as it is way to early to get a clear pic via abominal ultrasound.
My thoughts are with you... I'm sure it will all be fine

If you are measuring at 6 weeks...than most likely you are only 6 weeks. That is about the time where they can find the heartbeat. I wouldnt be too worried at this time. When i was six weeks...they couldn't hear the heartbeat BUT they were able to see it on the ultrasound. If they really thought that there was something wrong they would have done more test immediatly. They are probably going to wait until your nxt appointment, which should be in like 4 weeks, if they can't find it then, then worry. But as I said if they thought there was something wrong you would have been put through a bunch of other tests besides the ultrasound.

Good Luck

It depends but my doctor won't even try to find the heartbeat until after 10 weeks.

However the majority of miscarriages happen around 8 weeks.

Good luck and I'm sorry if this worries you more.

There is a very very very good chance that they just missed the heartbeat.

they could have your dates off.

i would talk about another ultrasound in about 2-3 weeks to see if there is any heartbeat then, if there in no heartbeat in a couple weeks, then most likely you will not carry this baby,

but the dates could be a little bit off and the heartbeat isn't formed yet.

good luck

Did they stumble upon the heart beat employing an ultrasound? They detected mine at week 6, and week 8, and week 12. Are you conversing approximately listening to it in Doppler? 'reason that would desire to be too early, I went in at week 12 and the surgeon instructed me she would desire to no longer be waiting to hearken to it yet, so we did an ultrasound and observed the toddler flashing, it relatively is the heart beat. If the toddler is starting to be frequently and you at the instant are not recognizing, i does no longer hassle approximately it, fairly while your OB isn't worried.

Don't worry girl, I had the same thing happen, they didn't find my baby's heart beat until 15 weeks. Just stay calm and do all the good healthy things you should do like takin your prenatal pills, and eatting fruits and veggies. Your baby's heart is just so tiny to be heard right now, but give it some time and you will hear it!! Good luck!

it could just be that your due date is off. they couldn't find the heartbeat at my 9 week ultrasound and he came out to be a perfectly happy and healthy baby boy!!!!

dont worry yourself over it! if you stress yourself out it can cause problems besides what you are worried about now!!! stay calm and try again at your next appointment! im sure you and the baby are fine!!! if you start to have any kind of painful cramping and bleeding..go the ER immediately!!!
