hello fellow human beings. i have few questions:

1. what do you think is the nature of God. is God a creature living somewhere up in the sky? what else?.

2. if spirit/mind are separate, when a person dies this spirit will travel to another word. where is this world? would another body required for this spirit?

3. why did God create us, for what purpose?

please give a wide range of views if possible so that to be open to different interpretations religious or otherwise. Please be serious :-)

I am a pantheist. I don't believe in a "deity", a "being" that plays the role of god.

The whole of the universe, to me, is Divine. The laws, forces, matter, cooperation that makes all things and all situations...that is "god" to me.

I think what we call mind/spirit are functions of the brain, when the brain dies, the functions cease.

I don't think there is a predetermined purpose. Humans seem to need a reason "why", but I don't think that the Universe needs one. I try not to assume that the Universe thinks, acts, needs like I do, because it has not demonstrated itself to have those traits.

We came about, like all things, because the matter, energy, etc does that when it comes together. It is the nature of things.

That is not the same as "random" because there is order in the universe. This order, to me, is the Divine.

God is (1) crrator of the unvierse, is omscient ompnipotent and omnipresent, in other words he knows all is and is present everywhere and has all knowledge. he is a real being existing outside of time and outside of creation and is the sinlge responsible force of creating us Humans. what happens when we die? the scriptuires say in hebrews that "it is appointed a man once to die, then face the Judgement." when we die we are ushered before God, the Holy and Just Judge of the whole unvierse. lets take a breif moment and see how you and I wil do when we face him and where we will go.

have you ever lied?
have you ever stoeln something?
ever used Gods name in vain? ever looked with lust?
if we have done the above we have broken God's Holy law, he has declared that the unrightoeuness of men will be accounted for and that thw wicked would face his Justice (hell). but heres the good news, the BIble says God did someting for us that we wouldnt have to go to hell, jesus died for us. we broke the law, and Jesus paid the fine, Now i Know you asked for diffrent considerations form other religions, But the truth is that jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life and no man cometh too the ftaher but by me." Only jesus has died for the laws you have broken, he has thru his death allowed your case beofre God to be aquitted . but what we must do is repent (confes and forsake our sins) and trust in jesus as you would trust a parachute, its the only thing that will save us. Now to question #3, God created us too do His will and glorigy his name among creation.
God Bless
