My dog (a year and a half old) does not do this everytime, but occasionally when we are on a walk he will act like he is starting to pee and then after having his leg raised a few seconds will swing his butt around and start pooping on this bush.

Is this normal?

Why would he being doing this?

Should I take him to the vet?

Sounds normal... my dogs do that too.
It's like they're pee'ing and all of a sudden they're suprised that they have to go poo.

relies upon on the canines. My 2 and a a million/2 twelve months previous Labrador nevertheless "squats" most of the time, yet is finally beginning as much as boost his leg - and that's with yet another male canines in the kin who lifts his leg on each and every thing that strikes, so which you think of he'd reproduction! different canines i've got had began at approximately 6 months to a twelve months. No easily time, and that i comprehend somebody whose canines never stricken to boost all his existence, so i think you will no longer be able to truly tell. does not rather matter variety - less complicated to stroll once you do no longer ought to offer up at each and every tree or lamp post to annoint it!

no. i do not think you should take him too the vet. anyway ,its your choice. but i still don't think you should take him to the vet. as long as he does pee-pee and poopy he's all right. i have a dog too, his name is sparky and sometimes he forgets that he is going to poopy and pee-pee.
