I've seen in several answers where they have made the comment that heaven would be boring. I'd just like to know how they have come to this conclusion.

Are you saying it's cool to be evil, Heather?

I have a hard time accepting that anyone would find paradise boring.

Well then Barbara this question was not directed towards you.

Dr Kemp your insult is petty and completely uncalled for. As I stated I have seen this quoted in several other questions. I was curious as to why they say it. If you haven't then this question is not directed towards to you and you have wasted your time and mine by answering.

So many of you are telling me that heaven isn't real. I didn't ask if you believed it to be real or not, that is your own personal opinion and one I do not share.

SJ you might find my 'assumption' ridiculous but I am only asking about what I have read in other answers. I find people who claims a place they do not feel exists to be boring completely ridiculous which it what prompted me to ask this.

I don't know, but I think the real question here is, why do they care? If they don't believe in Heaven, then why did they spend the time coming the conclusion that it boring.

Because every Christian I hear (and even the stuff I've read) seem to believe that all you'd do in Heaven is to just worship God and Jesus, and I'm sure after a few centuries it'd be pretty boring. Besides, we're doing it from a debatable point of view...like how you might sometimes use someone elses argument for your own way of proving them wrong, etc.

Besides, I don't really have to worry about Heaven, right? I'm going to Hell according to a majority of Christians, and failing that, I'll either cease to exist or something else will happen to me...

Your assumption is ridiculous. So called "atheists" who claim to know about heaven are not atheists at all. In fact they must not understand the term. A true atheist (me) knows that god, heaven, hell, and the like, is nothing more than an ignorant fable, contructed long ago by people who had no knowledge of modern science and philosophy. Read the book, IF YOU DARE ! " god is not Great" by Christopher Hitchens. It will put you straight on atheism and religion. But be careful - it's hard to assimilate by religious people - like yourself ?

Because they smell their own farts since their heads are very far up a dark area. Can ANYONE explain what heaven is? Honestly!!

Edit: What S J is saying is that there is no God, just existence? So your whole religion is based on science, meaning that any act that happens on this earth is easily explained? I seem to disagree with that point of view.

The only thing that Atheists know about heaven is that it doesn't exist. That's it. Nothing more.

Don't be stupid.

EDIT: I apologize if you thought that I was trying to insult you, that was not my intent. I was trying to get the point across that if someone, who claims to be an Atheist, seriously spouts on about heaven and hell, then they're in fact not an Atheist at all.

Eternity. Imagine that concept. Eventually, you'd have to know everything about everything.
Have you ever been married, and had your wife tell the same story she told a million times before again? It would be like that, forever.

No thanks. Sign me up for either non-existence or an ever-changing spirit world. I'd prefer non-existence.

Well, if these people are really atheists, they wouldn't believe that heaven actually exists. So, I'm guessing they're just enjoying the argument. It is, oh, so fun to taunt...

Probably because the Bible says that in heaven there is no male or female, that would be boring to some people.

I think being able to see Jesus face to face would last me a lifetime.

Because their tiny finite minds were never meant to grasp or understand the infinite glories God has prepared for those who love Him.....

.....lucky for them, it's a moot point. They never have to worry about being bored in heaven!

Most atheists don't believe in heaven. Those type of comments are usually tongue in cheek.
