According to Christianity, yes, people who attend church, or to use the biblical language, keep the Sabbath day holy, are favored by God, while those who don’t attend church are considered wayward by God.

This is a patently obvious fact to anyone who even has a passing familiarity with the Bible. Few, though, understand the implications of the commandment to keep the Sabbath day holy, and why it is placed so high in the sequence of the Ten Commandments.

Why observing the Sabbath day, or attending Church, to put it other terms, holds such primacy is because the Biblical God is megalomaniac of epic proportions. He is self-centered to a degree scarcely approachable in human terms. He hates his people cavorting with other gods, and he hates his people being distracted from him through earthly allurements.

A God who is altruistic, selfless, and is unconditionally loving, would not care if you congregate with others to give him praise. He would have no concern whether you adore him, give expiations for your sins, believe in his son’s atoning for your sins, or whether he is the center of your life. No, only a self-absorbed egomaniac would be concerned for such things. A loving God, a God worthy of our admiration, would only be concerned about the happiness of his children, and nothing more.

So God’s insistence on keeping the Sabbath, does not underscore his loving nature, but his own need to be worshipped. Is this a figure that we should think so highly of?

God sees nothing but the blood of Jesus on judgment day. You either have it or you don't, regardless of your church attendance.

Butterfly, with all due respect, you learn about how to live through the Bible. This can be done WITHOUT going to church. Church provides fellowship with other believers and a holy place to worship God. However, where two or more are gathered in His name, He is there. Church can be anywhere believers are.

What makes something a dinosaur? length? the customary siz of a dinosaur become the size of a chicken. Extinction? If Crocodiles and iguanas have been long extinct, they may be referred to as dinos too. So don't get a preconcieved theory of all trex and triceratops. particular some have been extensive, yet we've many extensive animals at present, some even extra beneficial. yet extra to the factor, i think in a litereal 7 day creation, because of the fact's easier and takes much less faith to have faith in than evolution. Noe that should take faith. additionally there's a mountain of knowledge that 'dinosaurs' and guy lived on an identical time. Footprints ingredient by making use of ingredient interior an identical layer of guy and dino. Cave artwork of dinosaurs carried out by making use of ancients who ought to purely paint what they knew. you will discover extra data by making use of finding out 'decrease back to genesis' and 'dr. dino' in case you will discover them on the internet. yet endure in innovations that species pass extinct continuously. one hundred species a 365 days i as quickly as study. So don't get too excited that an ice age which might clearly persist with a international extensive flood as defined in Genesis could wip out a buch of chilly bloded reptiles. And by making use of ways behemoth and Leviathan are interior the final financial disaster of activity, i think. activity is the oldest e book interior the Bible (the 1st 5 written by making use of Moses plenty later). How ought to He describe such issues long earlier 'dinosaurs' have been 'got here upon'? because of the fact as continuously, technology had no longer yet caught as much as God. genuine technology continuously has an identical opinion wiht the Bible.

absolutely not....going to church doesn't make you better or more saved than someone who doesn't....God looks at the heart of each of us....we are judged by the condition of our heart....for the heart reveals the truth about who we really are...
you do not have to go to a church to fellowship with other believers........when the church first started it was in homes as it is going back to today...more and more Christians are coming out from among the walls of the traditional church building and moving into home based groups...keep your heart right before God...we learn about God by spending time in His word and that can be at times with others and times by ourselves...God doesn't say anywhere in his word that we have to go to church...he says we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves with other Christians....and you dont need a building to keep the sabbath day holy....you can have church where ever you and other believers are gathered together....dont put God in a box

no, but it probably hurts Him very much. well, why didn't you go to church? b/c you were busy? or just lazy? if its the latter, then you should not be a Catholic. Although if you are Catholic (or Christian), you should attend church to be closer to God, and Jesus, and to keep the Sabbath Day holy in order to honour Him.
i mean, where else will you receive the body and blood of Christ?
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matt. 18:20)
