My neighbor and I have been trying to get his truck started. It's EFI Throttle Body. We've proven ignition and timing are good. The truck will start and run as long as you add fuel in the throat of the Throttle Body (TB). Thought the pump was bad, checked fuel pressure, GOOD. Fuel filter, Not Clogged.

We rebuilt the TB with all new gaskets and cleaned all passages. Removed the fuel injectors and opened them electronically and blasted carb cleaner through them.

Checked ALL fuses and the relay - All OK. Apparently the injectors are not being commanded to open. I figure it might be a bad sensor or (worst case) bad computer (ECU)

IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE OR SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, please lend me your assistance. It will be most appreciated.

Sometimes the wire about 10 inches away from the throttle chamber where two injector grounds it is crimped works loose. Is this a V-6? or four cyl? Test the fuseable links at the battery make sure all the grounds are screwed down. When the truck is turned on the injectors have 12v all the time and the injectors are grounded at the ECM. Just a thought,man, if your injectors aren't firing, how does the fuel make it from the throttle body to the combustion chambers? I know the fuel rail must really pressure up in order for the injectors to power up, it's a lot higher psi than the low pressure fuel delivery part of the system. Is there a trouble code being stored in your ECU?

Maybe the TPS needs adjustment...also the curb idle might be way off.
