No guitar is easier to play, brand, shape doesn't matter, fingerboards are basically the same....guitar is not an easy instrument to play....maybe if you just want to play a few chords it's not to bad but to become a good guitarist it takes a lot of study, pain, a good teacher, or on line tutor, and daily practice, even if it's only twenty minutes a day, it has to be consistent, good luck, I've played for years and it's been the love of my life, I've taught for years also, so I know that it doesn't matter what guitar you have.....it's what you have in your fingers, hands, ears, and most important of all the amount of time that your willing to put into practice, at least an hour a day.!!!!!!!!!!

Electric guitar isnt going to be easy to play, regardless of what guitar you have, but i have a flying v and i can tell you right now, unless you want to play standing up most of the time, Id recomend getting something other than a v because its a b**** to play sitting down. Really, the sound changes with each guitar, but a flying v is the same thing, just a different shape.

One that is on a neckstrap!! Those are tough to play over a knee. The older Gibson was probably my favorite. I prefer one with a blonde neck and close action, with very light strings. I use an 8 gauge set, and the bottom strings will hold my pick at the 12th fret if I put it between the strings and the neck. But that is more for my style lead playing, which is like a mix of Micheal Schenker from the old UFO, and Michael Anthony Batio, if you could envision that.
For fun, if you don't know who that is, do a Yahoo Video search for Speed Lives, by MAB. He is a bit repetitive, and more technical than style, to me, but nonetheless can play a guitar. Fast. As a side note, rewatch the video and count how many guitars he uses. Pretty seamless mix, considering.

There is only one Flying V. It's a Gibson. Everything else is a Gibson wannabe.

They are all equally difficult. Even the ones that are not flying V's.
