I am a fairly attractive 63 year old woman , divorced for 18 months now and want to know of places to go to meet men and make friends. Im very shy, and wont go anywhere alone. i dont even have women friends i can go out with. My son occasionally takes me out for a drink or to bingo, but i want to be able to do things on my own. anyone out there with similar experiences? i just want a life....

Go to the movies, the park, or a local senior(ish) (63 really isn't that old!) club. My grandma is 83 and has been going to the elk's forEVER and she loves it! She gets to meet a lot of guys there too so it's a pretty good place to be! Another place is the moose (don't ask i don't know why they're named after animals)

Have you tried going to your local senior center? My Mom goes and they even pick her up. There are lots of men who go and a few romances have popped up. They have quite a few activities and "field trips" and plenty of people to socialize with. I would recommend finding out where yours is and going to it. Do you know anyone who goes? It's worked out really well for her as she has made lots of friends there.
