I have also heard good things about the book "easy way to stop smoking" by Donal Carr (I think).
Also have had a lot of success with something called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), it is very strange it involves tapping similar to acupuncture, you can learn for free at http://www.emofree.com and do it in your own home. Worth a try!

The list of things you tried is too long unless you have been working on the problem for year or so.
If you were using the patches, gum and something else you could be getting more nicotine that 2-3 packages of butts. You would be going the wrong way at high speed.
Go back to the original hypnotist and explain what is happening. you may need weekly or monthly treatment by the hypnotist and/ or a tape or CD to use between sessions.
You must want to quit and be willing to work at it. one fall( buying a cigar) does not mean you cant walk. Get in touch with the lung association. They are a big help.

I'm 24 weeks pregnant today. When I found out I was pregnant, I was 7 weeks. I smoked until I was 14 WEEKS!!!!! I felt so guilty every time I smoked (I did cut back big time) and finally the guilt took over and I quit. You can do it, too! trust me! I'm a SMOKER. An every day smoker, not just an occasional smoker. If I can do it, so can you! Eventually you will start feeling so bad for your poor little baby in there.

My dad used to smoke a lot about 20 years ago and he quit cold turkey, but he still gets cravings... What has helped him all these years is: everytime he gets a craving he sucks on one of those round pepermint candies like you get at Pizza Hut... you can't get rid of the cravings completely if you've been smoking for a long time, but you can take the edge off the cravings and then you will have to be stronger than your craving.

Have you tried substituting chewing gum for smoking? Like a quarter of a stick at a time. Whenyou have the craving for a cigarette chew the gum. Have you had a physical exam and the Doc said to give up smoking? Know anyone with lung cancer or died from it? Have you seen anyone with emphysema ? Give it much thought. Convince yourself to stop even if you insist your girls are onry.

i respect your effort to quit smoking, alternatives like patches are widely used but its still just trying to wiene u off nicotine, i highly reccomend the book - easy way to stop smoking, its in any book store you can get the big one or little one, this is a great book i quit cold turkey on it, as did my sister and mother, it explains how your dependance is purely psychological, give it a go, be cheaper than getting hypnotised.
