Polytheism is a system in which a plurality of gods are acknowledged and/or worshipped (poly = many, multiple; theism = belief in god[s]). Typically, any individual god is a member of a larger, coherent group (called a pantheon) rather than being totally separate and unrelated. Polytheism usually involves belief in the several gods of a particular national culture. It is also typical that each individual god represents a unique value, personifies some aspect of humanity, and/or maintains stewardship over some facet of nature.

Polytheism is the belief in multiple Gods. People who practiced Polytheism believed in a different form of a God for different areas of need. One would believe there is a God or in some cases a Goddess for money and a separate one for love. That is just a random example.

Simply put, polytheism is the belief that there are many gods. Breaking the word down, "poly" comes from the Greek word for "many" and "theism" from the Greek word for "God." Polytheism has perhaps been the dominate theistic view in human history. The most commonly know example of polytheism in ancient times is Greek / Roman mythology (Zeus, Apollo, Aphrodite, Poseidon, etc.)

Polytheism is more than the belief in more than one God. It can ALSO be the worship of more than one God. Since all the members of the trinity are considered to be God, then to worship each one of them as God is pure polytheism.
It's so sad that you have such a warped view of Jehovah's Witnesses. You clearly showed it by what you said to Vot Ana. About the word "trinity," all he said was what the word meant--"three in unity." He is didn't say it was a unity of gods or persons or even bull frogs. But that didn't prevent you from making a prejudicial remark: "Three in unity?? Not three gods. This is a clear sample how this dangerous organization is brainwashed its followers to believe." (spelling corrected)
I noticed that Bosco said something that I KNOW you don't agree with. Is he in a "dangerous organization" too? Or is that reserved exclusively for JW's?
You wear your religious bigotry like a badge of honor. To you, all religious views are fine--even Bosco's. But in your eyes, Jehovah's Witnesses are totally wrong, even dangerous. You may or may not be aware of it, but as time progresses, more and more non-witnesses are becoming disgusted with you, Pedi C, and Unsilenced Lamb because of your sickening obsession with Jehovah's Witnesses. If you don't want to be one of them, fine. But stop using this forum to voice your hatred for Jehovah's Witnesses or for anyone else for that matter. This forum should be for peacfully exchanging thoughts and ideas, not for stirring up prejudices and bigotry for those who don't share your beliefs . Get a life already. Or get out out of this forum. And take Unsilenced Lamb and Pedi C with you.

The time I was doing my Catechism, the trinity was 1+1+1=1, now I learn from Nina that it's 1x1x1=1.
LOL, very clever. The math is good.
Just show me that 1x1x1=1 from the BIBLE.
Trinity means THREE in UNITY.

The belief in many gods, such as the Greeks, Romans and Hindus.
The Holy Trinity is not three distinct Gods but three in one. Hard to understand but they are One.

Although 1x1x1 is mathematically correct, the operation of multiplication makes absolutely NO sense in trinitarian equation. Let me explain:
There are 4 main parts that make up blood. They are plasma AND red blood cells AND white blood cells AND platelets. Writing them as a mathematical equation, which operation of mathematics is equivalent to the word "AND"? It is the operation of addition, NOT multiplication. So the equation would be: plasma AND (+) red blood cells AND (+) white blood cells AND (+) platelets make (=) blood.
The SAME mathematical operation of addition must be used in the trinitarian equation. So: the Father AND (+) the Son (+) the holy spirit (+) make (=) one God. So, that's 1+1+1=1, NOT 1x1x1=1. Neither equation fits the trinity since neither one has Biblical support. But 1x1x1 makes less sense than 1+1+1=1, which trinitarians USED TO use.
Polytheism is belief in OR worship of multiple deities. Does this apply to trinity believers? Yes. To them, the Father is fully God. The Son is fully God. The holy spirit is fully God. How many fully Gods is that? Add it up. 1+1+1=THREE. That's THREE fully Gods. And trinitarians worship them all.
However, you will point to verses that say that God is one, correct? So, is your argument now Biblical? No way. To you, the Father is God, the Son is God, and the holy spirit is God. But they are not three Gods, but one God. Does the Bible say that? No, but the man-made Catholic Athanasian Creed says that almost word for word. In part, it states: "The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not Three Gods, but One God."
By accepting the trinity, you are following a paganistic, polytheistic creed, and NOT the Bible, which says about Jesus' Father: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of YOU, the ONLY TRUE GOD, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." So, if the Father ALONE is the true God, how can you say the Son and the holy spirit are also the true God? Jesus did NOT say that. YOU did. Do you know more than he does?
Paul said: “Though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many)”; but Paul was not teaching polytheism thereby. For he added: “But to us there is but ONE GOD, THE FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” (1Â Cor. 8:5, 6) We worship the same God that the Lord Jesus Christ worships, and that is the “one God, the Father.” This worship we render to him through the Son of God, our “one Lord Jesus Christ.”
You continue to insult Jehovah's Witnesses by saying we are brainwashed and then you say we have our own definition of the trinity. That is totally wrong. We accept the standard meaning of the trinity, even though we reject it as a false teaching.
The Athanasian Creed defines the trinity. In part, it says: "The Father Eternal, the Son Eternal, and the Holy Ghost Etneral and yet they are not Three Eternals but One Eternal. The Father is Almighty, the Son Almighty, and the Holy Ghost Almighty. And yet they are not Three Almighties but One Almighty. So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not Three Gods, but One God. And in this Trinity none is afore or after Other, None is greater or less than Another, but the whole Three Persons are Co-eternal together, and Co-equal."
If we are brainwashed about the trinity, I challenge you to SHOW ME one verse or series of verses that say that God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God. Also, SHOW ME one scripture or series of scriptures that say that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom.
Here's another question to add to your collection: How can it be that if the Father is God and the Son is God and the holy spirit is God, that makes them three "persons," but not three Gods?
