My cooked rice never has an "odor". What kind of rice are you cooking? Do you wash it before you cook it? How long are you leaving it out?
I've left rice in my rice cooker for up to two days and it NEVER smells bad. Plus rice usually doesn't last long enough in my house to go bad...

do you wash your rice before you cook it? I suggest that you do.

what do you mean by a long time? i was always told not to keep rice as if you leave it standing and don't reheat it properly you can get food poisoning.if it does smell bad please don't take chances bin it.
