I am having a problem with sin and it feels like when I talk to God, that nothing is happening. I feel kind of depressed and like I will never get back into the same relationaship that I had with God before. Please help. Your prayers are much appreciated.

Lots of prayers coming your way. I understand, I had a problem with sin also and felt the distance. I thought I would never get back to where I was, but you know what? This is why it is so wonderful to serve Him. Just repent, pray and read and help others. Not only will you be forgiven and set free from the desire to do this sin, but God will draw you back and you will be better than you were before. I don't know how He does it, but I am so thankful that He does. This does not give us a license to sin, but just want to share this to bring hope to you.

I believe the most vital ingredients to your Christian life are:
Prayer and meditation (talking with God and listening to Him),
Bible-reading (good Christian apologetics like C.S. Lewis can also be helpful in understanding the Scripture),
Fellowship with other Christians, and
Helping those in need.

And please don't worry if you don't get a flash of inspiration each time you pray. The important thing is to keep on praying! The Bible says over and over again that we must be patient and "wait for the Lord." He'll give you every blessing you need, when the time is right. One thing you can always rely on--once you are His, God won't ever forsake you, no matter what.

God bless you, my friend!

Everyone one of us has a problem with sin. We all fall short of His glory. But he still loves us. Know that when Jesus prayed in the garden, he prayed for you and me and he still does that now.

Your walk with God is not a sprint but a lifelong journey full of peaks and valleys.

Psalm 121 has always been a comfort to me.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Know that He loves you, He is with you and you are being prayed for~ Peace be with you!

Find a friend who also believes in the same thing you do. Talk to her about what you are feeling and trying praying together. Pray for that closer relationship, tell God about your sins and ask for forgiveness. Study his word..sometimes other books help, like "A purpose Driven Life" to help you better understand the bible. Join a small bible study.

Study His Word.

Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Amo 5:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
Amo 5:5 But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.

Repent of any and all sin in your life. LEARN what YAHWEH says is SIN and LEARN the differences, for there are plenty. IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVER YOU CAN LIVE ABOVE SIN in this present evil world... you have a major problem in your faith. GET OUT OF THE FALSE MAINSTREAM CHURCHES, they do not teach the scriptures.

Know yourself, your weaknesses and strengths, likes and dislikes. Be certain of your opinions that you hold and be intelligent enough to listen to others. Research knowledge of every kind., self knowledge and researching will strengthen your intellectual side and believe it or not the more intelligent you are the stronger your faith no matter what your religion.
Learn some Buddhist exercises in self control. Buddhist gods may have different names to your own as do other religions yet the principles are the same!

My best advice is to pray. Keep praying, no matter what. Maybe talk privately w/ the pastor about what's bothering you. It helps to have a "buddy". It also helps when we feel accountable to them and, most importantly, to God. Remember God is as close as the mention of his name.

Read God's Final Testement, the Qur'an, and act according to what it says.

He will always be with you, and will forgive your sins.

Man is never perfect, but God says He forgives ALL sins, except the sin of messing with His true Nature, giving Him human attributes.
