Aneurysms are weak spots in the walls of arteries, which creates a risk that the artery can burst. If an aneurysm is in a large artery or located in the brain, it is often fatal if it bursts. Not all aneurysms burst - the odds of a burst are usually unknown.

A ruptured aneurism can definitely kill you.

An aneurysm is a weakness of a blood vessel and it starts to stretch out like a balloon, once its gets too big it will burst and you bleed. If caught before it gets too big surgery will correct it. Usually happens in the vena cava or in your brain.
