I used to smoke, but I quit. I know a lot of guys who think smoking is a huge turn off, including one that I'm sort of seeing. He brought that point up the other day. Should I tell him that I used to? Is that something he needs or would want to know? I feel like if I mention it, it's like lying almost.

If you don't do it anymore, then what's the big deal. If anything, you can point to the fact that you had the willpower to break the habit.

If he brings it up again, just be like 'ugh, I know. I used to smoke, but then I quit because ____" and then drop it.

And I don't know about it being a turn off. I kind of think it's hot if a guy is like holding a cigarette, or is smoking one. But those are the boys who are like bad boys, who I check out but could never date. Maybe. I'll have a fling with a bad boy one day, lol. I just have the curse of always falling for the nice guys.

I think you're making a big deal out of a small thing. Alot of people used to smoke and don't. If you wanna tell him or not, just don't make a big deal about it when you'll bring it up, or it'll make the response worse.

Well smoking is a turn off for me. Since you quit it should be fine with him, but don't hide it from him. Wouldn't it be sad if your relationship ended because of such a trivial thing???

If he asks tell him the truth, but really, he'd probably like the fact that you were smart enough to quit.

The important part is that you're not now. I really don't think it would matter to him that you used to.
